October 2000. The production plant in Pune for manufacturing of high tech indexable

carbide cutting tools and inserts has recently been upgraded to the latest modern technology of international,standard.

The Sandvik Coromant operations in India covers all India and neighbouring countries of

Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka. Sandvik Coromant in India, being operational

since the very beginning of 1960 have created a wide and strong leadership platform for

the core business of metal cutting carbide tools for the metalworking industry. The main

customer base is within the automotive and ancillaries, defence sector, die & mould

manufacturing and general mechanical engineering industry Scope.


Design, development, simulate and test New products and support with CAPP -P routine. Process Development for products and quality gatekeeper for product management that meets high quality requirements and performance standards.

Key Performance areas:

Responsible for the co-ordination between R&D /Product Management and Production
New product launching for HSS tap. Organise communications throughout the program of product launching. Prepare and submit feasibility report / Analysis reports to R&D and Product management. Risk analysis and budgeting of project.
Responsible for the Design Automation, create manufacturing drawing, create BOM for the production from Sandvik Automated system. Co -operation with Design automation team.
Process development and validation requires for manufacturing the product.
Launch and monitor the Program track progress by updating Business Plan, Program Dashboard and Budget Reports and by leading reviews of program steps and results
Quality gate keeper for R & D and PM at PU Pune.
Your Profile

  1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering.
  2. Have around 2 – 5 years of experience in metal cutting industry as Design Engineer.

  3. Must have License & certification in NX.

  4. Knowledge of Design Tool Specially Auto CAD, NX (Essential)

  5. Strong Planning, organization and negotiation Skill.

  6. Strong Project Management Skill.

  7. Good in Communication Skill.

  8. International mind set and able to work in matrix organization.

  9. Ready to travel locally & overseas.

  10. Should be able to work in a team.

11.Self-motivated and result oriented person.

This position reports to Manager – Senior Manager Process Improvements & Methods, Round Tools.
